Guess I should keep up with the posting, even though this is only ever read when I paste a link to my blog to someone.
Canada beat Ukraine 10-0 today. The shots were 61-7. Good game for Canada, going into their next against the Czechs. But they'll beat the Czechs just like they're going to beat everyone this year. I predict a perfect record.
I bought fish from Sobey's yesterday, and the fishmonger gave me 2 instead of the 1 I asked for, but only charged me for one. All those things I read about going shopping late Sundays seem to be right. Yay for fish.
In the inagural toasting of my toaster oven I managed to burn 3 waffles. While I'd used it to bake such things as bagel bits, and taco sticks.. the waffles had me beat.
Time to go make a sammich.

So Canada just finished beating Finland 3-0 in their opening match of the World Juniors. It was a great game to watch, with Canada totally dominating the Finns physically. Even without Jordan Tootoo, Canada just totally rolled of ther the Finnish players. By the end of the game, it was obvious that the Finns were utterly worn out. Had it not been for some great saves by their goalie, the score would be MUCH higher. Especially since Canada outshot them something like 13-4 in the third period. Good on Marc Andre Fleury for scoring a shut out in the first outing of this tournament. While he didn't face too many shots, he did make some big saves. It's even sweeter in that this Finnish team beat the US 4-1 in an exhibition round game.

Bring on Russia!

I'd check into who Canada plays next, but the stupid IIHF website is moving slower than molasses in winter. Plus, because no one actually reads this, there's not really a need for me to inform anyone.

Ah Christmas. My favourite day of gift giving and receiving. I made out pretty well, I'm now the proud owner of a very snazzy suit jacket, pants, shirts, and some classy ties. As well, I've got a kickin' new toaster oven in my kitchen, a machete (courtesy of my grandma), various other odds and ends that I'm too lazy to go into, plus I have more presents coming on Saturday. I worked until friggin 11:00pm last night, then motored home. Spent the night there (to my dog's delight), but tonight I'm back at my apartment (to the cat's delight). Tomorrow I shall brave the Future Shop throngs to eke out what Boxing Day sales I can. However, I'm planning on checking out the sale starting midnight tonight online. Wish me luck, and avoid it (the site, that is).

A fatal fight has rocked Buckingham Palace with reports that Princess Anne's controversial bull terrier Dotty mauled to death one of the Queen's corgis.

Wow, now that's funny. I had planned on writing more, but I've since forgotten what. And now it's time for work and Christmas Eve. Sucks to be me.

hahaha stupid US has their own mad cow now. Here's hoping that Canada shuts their borders asap. Though in saying that, I'm reminded of how stupid Japan is. They closed their borders to US beef 3 hours after the announcement was made that the US might have a case of mad cow. So now if you're keeping track, that means that Japan can not get beef from Canada, or from the US (which had been its largest beef importer). Makes me feel for those poor Japanese and their soon-to-be-expensive beef. But I don't feel too much, stupid buggers. That's it for now, Merry Christmas all.

So now I have a blog... just like tens of thousands of other people. Difference is no one's going to read this. I just want a blog to be cool.
