Star Wars III Easter Eggs

Monday, May 30, 2005

There are actually some pretty cool things here, though the one thing I noticed that I'm proud of is Gran Moff Tarkin's cameo at the end, which isn't noted in here.
Anyways click here <---there to give it a read through, pictures included.

HUGE news announced on cbc.ca today...

There's probably no other country on earth that loves the world junior hockey championship more than Canada. Now, it will get a chance to show that support every three years. In an unprecedented deal announced by the International Hockey Federation, Canada will play host to the tournament every three years.

Hockey Canada president Bob Nicholson officially approached the IIHF congress with the proposal this week and the deal was approved on Saturday, giving it the right to host the 2009 and 2012 world juniors.

How awesome is that?! We Canadians have always known the World Juniors belong here, where the tournament sells out a year before it even begins (Hi Vancouver). I sincerely hope it returns to Winnipeg soon enough, because Canada may be home to the World Juniors, but Winnipeg is its living room.... that's right, think about it.

Baaa-aack

Okay so I'm back from Calgary now. It's great to be home, even though it was nice to get away. I'll update more later, for now I'm a bit sleepy and watching Ginger Snaps.

"To those human beings who are of any concern to me I wish suffering, desolation, sickness, ill-treatment, indignities - I wish that they should not remain unfamiliar with profound self-contempt, the torture of self-mistrust, the wretchedness of the vanquished: I have no pity for them, because I wish them the only thing that can prove today whether one is worth anything or not - that one endures."

iPodriffic

So yeah, being the trendwhore I am (thanks Jane), I decided recently to purchase an iPod mini. Why? Because it kicks friggin ass. After witnessing the beautiful integration between iTunes and iPod, I seriously doubt I could ever go back to using any other sort of mp3 player. I'll post pictures of it later maybe, but it's just a silver iPod mini. I'm sure everyone knows what it looks like.
Its power is derived from the following formula:

iTunes+Smart Playlists+AutoSynch=Music Heaven

Dude, there's my money

Monday, May 02, 2005

So, Autopac wanted to repair my car, they told me there were $1200 in repair costs, of which I'd have to pay the $500 deductible. That didn't seem too appealing, so we called back the insurance lady and told her to cut a deal.
She called back today offering $1100 for the car, which is excellent. So I officially have no car and am a bus rider. For now anyways. There'll eventually be a new one, as soon as I get sick of riding the bus in the summer heat.
