On the bus ride to work today I saw something that made me feel almost pathos. I say almost, because the pity wasn't really sympathetic, it was more pathetic pity. At a busy intersection in my riding was the Liberal candidate Anita Neville and what I can only assume were her family members waving and holding up Liberal signs.
I could only see it as a sign that perhaps her local polling isn't going as planned. I can't say I'm really surprised, I haven't seen her doing ANYTHING, or anywhere. Granted, the same could be said for any of my local candidates, which I'm a bit dissapointed with. But, more to the point, Anita is the incumbent and the candidate for a federally embattled party, and I don't think she can afford to not be all over the place if she'd like to keep her riding. I haven't even received anything in the mail from her. The only parties I've got mailings from have been the Conservatives (which have been summarily recycled), and the Progressive Canadian party.
That's all for now.

Progessive Canadian party? Never heard of 'em!

I got my Conservative candidates stuff in the mail yesterday and enjoyed recycling it... Although... it is really good for the environment to recycle hogwash??

Anyway, Peter Kent from Global is running in my riding and he and his peeps were standing in front of my subway station in the morning. One of his buffoons hit with their sign accidentally. Grrr... I should have yelled at him but I don't have that kind of hutzpah at 7:30 am.

For the record, my Liberal candidate knocked on my door the evening the election was called. A person in my profession likes that kind of punctuality.

    Have a good weekend!
