So I was offered a position today at a different branch, finally getting rid of that 'trainee' moniker that had been attached to my 'personal financial services representative' job title. The branch should be a good one, it's located in a very culturally diverse part of the city, which could make it fun. Earlier this month one of the other PFSRs from the branch I'm at now went there, to help them out because they're experiencing a higher-than-normal turnover rate. I'll miss the branch I've been at since January, every single person there is really cool, and getting to know new people can be tiresome sometimes.
I'll also miss bussing through the downtown, which I do now every morning and night. I really love changing buses right at the Bay building, because its' an excuse to go in there and spend some money.
But it will be nice. It was nice that they called my boss and asked if I wanted to go there, because otherwise I'd have to go and apply at different branches, go through interview shit again.

I'm pretty pumped about going to Morden tomorrow, turns out a third will be joining us, Jon, who after 2 years in Scotland has returned and is still exactly the same.

Here's a question, best suggestions on ways to start a conversation with a girl on the bus (or at a stop) who consistently wears headphones. I'm not a fan of the just-start-talking thing, because that's assinine.

    Congrats on the new position!

Hee-hee. My roommate has to walk through the Bay to get from the subway to her office. That's why there are always Bay bags lying about our apt.

Hmmm, I'd give you suggestions for talking to the girl, but I'm totally un-suave when it comes to these things. The best I can come up with is "accidentally" drop something on her foot.

    Good idea!

Or you could use a classic Ralph Wiggum pick-up line like:

    "Do you like... stuff?"

    or

"My cat's breath smells like cat food."

I could! and I even live with a cat, so I wouldn't be making up the fact that its breath smells like cat food, which it does...

Congrats - where exactly is the branch?

As for the girl, I know you'd never try something like "what are you listening to" - what about taking off your headphones and leaning in to hear what she's listening to... lol. But yeah, dropping something might very well do the trick.

Did you enjoy the corn and or apples? Did Jon laugh at the corn?

lol it was great man, did you see Jon's picture with Miss. Manitoba yet? I have all the pics on my msn space, but I'll upload some of the best here.
