So today my dad, Jennie, and her mom did some of the moving in advance of tomorrow's madness. We did about 8 or so loads in the van, plus a few in Jennie's mom's car. We moved the big furniture from my room, except for the bed so's I have a place to sleep tonight. Ugh there's still so much to do here, more packing yet and plenty enough of cleaning. Stupid accumulations of cat hair and other things I'd rather not think about. Not to mention the stove needs to be cleaned... at least it's not as bad as at the last place, yech.
The new house has all the appliances, though I think I'm going to purchase a dishwasher fairly shortly. I also need to buy a chesterfield. In the next year I'd like to replace all the appliances with more energy efficient ones though. The gas furnace isn't new, but it has a newer motor which is good. I'd still like to replace that with a more economical one, but they're like $5000. Manitoba Hydro does have a pretty decent finance program, but I'm already paying enough bills monthly just now. We'll see how things go. I get a bonus at the end of the year from work, so perhaps I could be a loser and put that towards a souped up new ultra-efficient furnace.
Anyways I've gotta go back to cleaning and then take a shower; I'm in no shape to be doing any sort of physical activity, much less moving.

Oh ugh. Moving is the worst thing ever. The only positive thing I can say about moving is that it forces me to get organized. Well, at least 'til the point where I say "screw it" and just start heaping things into random boxes.

Yay dishwashers!!! I miss the dishwasher in my old apartment. I also miss my old cat, but not her cat hair. ;)

Happy moving! (If there is such a thing.)
