So as it turns out, that place that I found here that sells Alain Mikli frames is closed for the summer! After bussing all the way out there, walking the 3 blocks because I got off on an early bus, lo and behold the sign on the door says "Closed for the summer, reopening August 19". I'm not sure I want to wait that long, I just may succumb to the embrace of the internet and buy them from eyeglasses.com.

Any recent visitor to my myspace will have noticed a new entry on my calendar there. Sept 27, Amy Milan is swinging by the city and I picked up some tickets. $12! She's playing at the West End, which is a nice intimate place for shows. So that means so far September I'll be seeing The Weakerthans, and Amy Milan. This makes me happy.

I bought Terry Goodkind's newest Sword of Truth series book last week, and finished it yesterday. A note at the bottom of the last page reads "Watch for the next and final installment". Yay! Finally one of the monster fantasy series I've been reading since high school will end!

No! Poor you, actually having to walk 3 blocks. I would have given up right then and there :)

That makes me sad that you get to see the Weakerthans. My God I hope you have a kick ass time at both of your concerts.

I'm pretty sure my friend has a bunch of books by Terry Goodkind.

Take care and sorry for the lack of comments. I'm sure you probably enjoyed not hearing from me.

I picked up Phantom just before I left NA, I plan on reading it after I finish up the Malazan Book of the Fallen books I brought with me. The best part is that by the time I get back to Canada, the final SoT book will be released! w00t!

BTW - have you read any of Eriksons Malazan books? They're super good, get on it!

WOW! Amy tickets for $12 you lucky duck. I'm gonna have to go see if she's playing TO any time soon as I'd love love love to go.

Okay, I'm such a geek... I kept thinking the frames you were talking about were picture frames but now I get that they are glasses. Yeesh.
