So, the big day of the garage-roof-shingles-ripping-off. Everything started out swimmingly, my dad was up there with the shovel lifting off the shingles.
Some explaining is in order. The garage has a lean-to addition on one side. The shingles came off of there without any problem. Now, when he got to the garage part of the roof, a discovery was made.
Whomever put this layer or shingles on, was nice enough not to remove the old ones. Now, that might not be a big deal if they werent' these weird, diamond-shaped shingles, with each one having upwards of 8 nails in it. Again, not a big issue if they could just be lifted out, but these shingles were old and brittle, so they just broke. Arg. Anyways, we were outside from 9am until 3pm. The next step is raising the roof beams to re-straighten the roof.
In any case, we did get it done. Witness, below:

Upon coming back in the house for a much needed shower, I noticed the following:

I had burned :(

Dude, I totally get the layering of household things. My mom's house has about 18 layors of wallpaper everywhere. When I wanted to paint my room when I was in mt teens, it took me about 852 years to take the damn thing off. In my office, I just painted over it. Now I want to help my mom paint the dining room/living room. That should be interesting.

Ouch on the sunburn but LOLOLOL on the upcoming farmers tan. :)

Ohh! Your arm looks like it hurts real bad. Hopefully, it doesn't.

Good job on getting everything done though.

    Take care :)
