So last night was the Bright Eyes show, which was superb! The opening 'band' was this Welshman named Gruff Rhys. Just one guy, but he was outstanding. He built up his songs by making recordings of himself singing parts, then playing them back over other recordings of himself, or other sounds. I plan on looking for some of his recordings, if he has any, but I'm sure it won't be as wonderful as the live experience.
Bright Eyes was great indeed. They played a few of my fav. songs, and the ending song was a big getup with Gruff playing. There were solos all over the place, and it was a great sendoff.

There was no merchandise table!! I was very sad about that, I came with a fistfull of dollars.
