Thanks be to Christielli for hooking me up with the fact that The Weakerthans have scheduled a Winnipeg date for their Impossible Distances tour! Click on that link to find a stop near you. Sorry Laura, it doesn't look like they're swinging by the east coast this time :( Though, perhaps it's an excuse for a trip to Ottawa! Tickets go on sale this Saturday, and I shall be picking them up for sure. I'm quite excited. Thanks again Christielli!
One of the guys I used to work with in the last branch I was at is getting married on Saturday, and my roommate was going to go with me. Suddenly, she's got some thing to be doing for her own wedding that day, so can't come. Anyone want to come to a Portugese wedding this Saturday? lol Anyone from out-of-town gets rewarded with tickets to the Ex.
Buck 65 is also coming to Winnipeg as part of the Cool (tm) Winnipeg Jazz Festival, I might end up seeing him, if I can find someone that also is somewhat interested in going.
I was bored and moseyed on over to Pitchfork and looked through this very fun column about the Best 100 Music Videos. Are they the best? I don't agree with all of them being the best, but they're all good fun. I especially like The Postal Service's 50's kitch video (and of course, how can you NOT like Twisted Sister's video for We're Not Gonna Take It! Dee is the ugliest 'woman' EVER).
Ohh :( I think the Weakerthans concert would be great one to go to. Wow, their going to Winnipeg though. So if you don't go, I'll be mad at you :D
I am going up to Ottawa on the week of July 5. So I've already planned a trip there :D
I'd come with you to the wedding! Even if no one ends up going with you, you should still go, just think about all the free food!

No prob giving you the scoop on the Weakerthans' concert. They're playing this weekend in TO at 2 Hip concerts that I elected not to go to (they are NOT an opening band). Hope you have a fabulous time.
Hope you have fun at the Portuguese wedding. A good proportion of the students at my school are Portuguese. Or such is their defence when I tell them they're too loud.
Weddings can be fun! Hope you went all by your lonesome and enjoyed yourself! As long as you know people there its all good :)
matt i have a question about the dates on the link for the weakerthans concert...are those the dates that you can buy tickets for them or the date for when they are playing?... sorry for the sort of obvious question that it may be but i am still confused about what the dates are for leave a comment on one fo my old posts or email me..my email is on my blog so ya if you could plz do that thanks
